She is also a four-time Emmy award-winning medical talk show host with 20 years of emergency medicine experience treating patients with serious and life-threatening conditions. Today, at her medical spa, Dr. King enjoys developing partnerships with her patients to assist them on their transformational journeys toward optimal health and wellness, and achieving their aesthetic goals.

Winnie King, MD
Dr. King has a passion for dispensing useful and often lifesaving information to the public. Early in her career as a board-certified fellow emergency medicine doctor, she found herself treating seriously ill patients whose life choices played a role in their situation. She wanted to do more than just intervene during a tragic medical emergency.
For the past 25 years Dr. Winnie King has led a dual life. She has worked as a physician in several states including Washington, DC, Maryland, California, Florida and most recently Texas. However, at the same time she became a 4-time Emmy award winning television and radio journalist hosting shows on networks including Lifetime and PBS and local news outlets. She was the first African American physician on television news in Los Angeles; she is a popular speaker and has received numerous awards and citations for her on air work.
Dr. King’s experience along with her and warm, engaging, and down to earth style made her a recurring guest on several syndicated shows including “Oprah” and “Montel”. She is currently the host of “The Dr. Winnie King Show” each week on KCOH AM 1230 radio.
In 2016, she opened Winnie King, MD Aesthetics and Wellness in Houston, Texas where she delivers a variety of longevity, wellness, and beauty enhancement services. Dr. King is interested in the complete health of her patients. She listens to their desires and forms a partnership aimed at achieving their goals.
